During her four years teaching at Capital Region Career & Technical School, Heather Bigelow developed the courses “Gaming, Multimedia, & Web Design” and “Internet Application Design”. These courses cover the topics Video Game Design, Computer Programming, Digital Art & 3D Modeling, App Creation, and Web Design.

Her work introduces high school students to local game developers, such as Vicarious Visions in Menands, New York, and connects them with the industry by taking them to conventions, such as PAX East.

This summer, at Hudson Valley Community College’s “Kids on Campus” program, she is teaching the courses “Game Design”, “Digital Art with Adobe Photoshop”, “Digital Video with Adobe Flash”, and “Introduction to Programming with Alice”.
